Boxcard is a good choice for blog or portfolio websites. Allows you to configure the maximum page width, content width and the size of cards on the homepage. For single posts you can display related posts, links to the next and previous post.
The location of the sidebar is adjustable left or right. In the vertical header you can add a logo or avatar, and below set an additional title and description, for example, your name and mission. There is a set of fonts you may choose from, also you can change the background and buttons color.
There are optional 2 widgetized columns at the top and bottom of the site.
